We send these surveys to ask how things are going — how the bus has been, what's working, what's not. Your answers help the LA Metro and the King's College teams make Metro better for everyone.
How surveys work
You'll get a notification when a survey is available.
They take about 2–3 minutes to complete.
Each survey has a deadline — miss it, and that survey's reward is gone.
The surveys
Survey | Sent | Reward | Deadline |
Baseline survey | Oct 4 | $5 | Wed midnight that week |
Pulse check (weekly) | Every Sunday, Oct 11 – Dec 6 | $3 each | Wed midnight that week |
Exit survey | Dec 13 | $5 | Wed midnight that week |
Follow-up survey | TBD | $10 | TBD |
Surveys are open for a few days, then close. If you miss a survey, no harm done — there'll be more. The baseline, exit, and follow-up surveys are one-time only, so those can't be made up.
How the money works
Survey rewards are added to your balance every Thursday, based on surveys you completed that week. The money stays on your balance and is paid out after the pilot ends.
To be eligible for payout, you need to stay in good standing for the full pilot — that means submitting odometer readings for all your vehicles in week 0, week 5, and week 10. If you're expelled from the pilot at any point, you lose eligibility for all survey payouts, even ones you already earned.
Bonus: lottery entries
On top of survey rewards, completing surveys and odometer readings gives you a shot at a cash lottery.
5 winners of $500 are drawn per cohort (10 payments total across the pilot)
Each research week you complete all your odometer readings and submit the survey earns you 1 lottery entry
Lottery takes place after the pilot ends. The winners will be contacted and the $500 prize is going to be added to their in-app running balance and paid together with all other rewards after the pilot ends.
