How weekly odometer reporting works

Every Sunday, you report your vehicles' odometers. That's it.

Written by Magda Waskiel

Each week of the pilot, you report an odometer reading every Sunday for every vehicle you've added. We use those readings to confirm whether any of your vehicles stayed under 3 miles that week, and that's what triggers your reward.

Two ways to report

When you add your vehicles, you pick one of two methods:

  • Photo — Open the app on Sunday, tap Submit Now, and take a photo of your odometer. Your vehicle stays parked, nothing else to do.

  • Auto-Submit — If your vehicle has an active SmartCar account or subscription, we can read your odometer automatically. No Sunday action needed. See details on how to connect here.

You can mix and match across vehicles in the pilot.

When to submit

We'll send a notification reminder on Sunday. Submit any time that day.

If you miss Sunday

Don't panic — there's a small grace period. You'll have 48 hours after Sunday to submit before the week is marked Overdue. We'll send follow-up reminders on Monday and Tuesday if we haven't seen your reading yet.

If you miss the grace period on a regular week, that week's reward won't count, but you can still continue the pilot in following weeks.

Weeks 0, 5, and 10 work differently - don't miss these weeks

Weeks 0, 5, and 10 are mandatory checkpoints. Missing the odometer submission for any one of these three weeks gets you expelled from the pilot immediately, with no payout at all, even for weeks you already qualified for.

Where can I see my readings?

Open the app and tap your vehicle to see every odometer reading you've submitted, when each one was taken, and the running total miles driven.
